First, not all dealerships are complete dick heads, most of the time if you have a good standing relationship with the dealership they take care of you.

Obviously we are going to be able to tell if you have modded your truck, no different than I did, if you just tell us that we have no problems with it, but we are not going to put our asses on the line for your truck, like mentioned before we are authorized to repair your vehicle under warranty, then GM reviews the repair orders and decide if they want to pay us for the repairs.

If we know that the repair is going to be reviewed than sorry guys but we are not going to cover it, but dont be a complete dick to the service advisor because you chose to mod your truck while under warranty. If you say ok, and take the responsibility of the repair without pissing someone off, usually we wont put a warranty block on your truck. If you start screeming in the waiting room, we are on the phone with GM PQC before you even walk out the front door and you will never get another powertrain warranty, even including a wheel bearing that has nothing to do with the mods that you did.

Also the odometer is monitered by three ECU's now in the NNBS trucks instead of just the IPC like the older trucks. It is hard for us at the dealership to check that the mileages dont jive together but with enough work we can but it is usually the least of our worries.

So when it comes down to it, if you are friendly and respect the dealers we try to be friendly and respect you, just realize when you are asking for a miracle they dont always come true!!!

moss magnuson act, end of story
they will sell modded vehicles but not warranty others, wtf is that
they will sell you a K&N but will not warranty your **** when you have your own K&N
ive been there and done that, dealers do what they have to to make a buck, they will cancel a warrranty without merit and WILL put off service till your warranty is over, even premature part failure

the dealer will sell you a $1400 alarm, charge you $750 then give you the $50 special, thanks to the due bill the dealer effed themselves on that one

when its under warranty a misfire is normal, but when the warranty is over you need $$$$$.$$ in work

i get everything in writing now, hell, recording the whole deal would save your *** someday
