We have had a few trucks,tahoes come in with that same problem. It is usually a problem with the onstar vcim. You will have to take it to a dealer to figure it out.

this is probably a stupid question, but, did you try pushing the "onstar" button? the blue one. Something else you could do is pull the onstar fuse. Or at least I could in my 2002.

If you drive it with the fuse pulled it will default to a security fault and shut down the truck!!!!! Locking all the modules,pcm,bcm and such. You would then have to replace them all
