i have a o4 silverado 4.8l took it to get an inspection and it didnt pass the guy said it had 4 monitors not ready but i wrecked the truck and the battery had died while it was sitting so he said drive it 40 miles and come back. i did and it still wouldnt pass all 4 monitors were "not ready".

so i drove it 300 miles and took it back still he said 4 monitors were "not ready" he told me to drive it more but im assuming there is another problem somewhere

i used the drive cycle monitor on my scanner and after about 20 min. of driveing the monitors went to "ready"
but when i shut the truck off and start it back up all four monitors are not ready

what could be causing this problem? i checked all the fuses. could i be losing power in the pcm?

im in houston texas

 

also the wreck was only cosmetic damage to my knowledge grille bumper and lights got a lil smashed up

i did the repairs myself so i know nobody messed with the motor

 

If the PCM loses power then it basically resets itself and you will lose the ready monitors.

 

It can be reprogrammed so it will pass with an HP Tuner.

 

Check all your fuses. Sounds like you loose power to pcm everytime you turn off truck which will reset monitors each time.
