Default Will a 411 PCM make that much of a difference?

I am installing an L29 454/4L80E from a '98 Suburban into my '96 Sierra halfie. (For those of you who read my other thread, I sold the 454/5spd one ton I was going to use because I found this one, that way I wouldn't have to hunt down a trans). I will be doing a full swap, harness, PCM, cooling system (even though I'm already running a 4-core), and all. Even the Hydroboost and driveshaft.

This is my daily. The only for sure upgrades will be longtubes with a dual in/out 50 series Flowmaster, and I MIGHT do a mild marine cam if I find a takeout for cheap enough, though the stock setup is enough for what I want to do with it. (I have a '79 Trans Am for a toy, so I'm not real concerned with fully hotrodding this thing).

My question is - Is doing the 411 swap worth it for what I'm doing with it? Or should I just get my BlackBox tuned? I know it sucks for high performance and swapping PCMs is preferred on the L30 and L31, but since I'll rarely get into the 4000-5000 RPM range, is it necessary to deal with repinning and reprogramming the 411? I have an extra BlackBox from another '98 454/4L80E truck, and can have it sent in and tuned before I do the swap, that way it's ready to go. The Suburban is also a California truck with the A.I.R system, will this affect anything as far as harness/computer when I delete it? I wouldn't think so, but you never know.

Thanks in advance, ya'll are always helpful and I look forward to any opinions, but as a disclaimer, please noone suggest an LS swap, I always seem to get that. I would love a 6.0, but I paid $500 for this Suburban and it runs perfectly and quietly, no ticks or rattles. Hell, there isn't even any crud on the oil pan! Thanks again

I agree when I swapped in the 411 on my 99 it was all around smoother and a better pcm I thought plus back then it had a lot more tuning options. But if I ever own another one a 411 pcm will be one of the first mods I do. Plus even if you do not buy the adapters it is not a hard process to do.
