I just swap motors and need a tune. As i have been wait to get it tuned, i am starting to think, if i can tune it myself. I have never tuned before. I don't know what programs to use. Is it hard to tune, or expensicve. I well pay 450 to get tuned from a shop. well would love to hear your guys 2 cents.

well... it would be just barley cheaper for you to get it dyno tuned at a shop ($450 like you said)... but i would use either hptuners or efilive... they are both user friendly programs. Efi live is a bit easier i think, but there are plenty of ppl to talk to about tuning so you might want to do some research read up on it and maybe inveset in either efi or hptuners after you get your dyno tune. If you dont have any experience right now.. i would go for the dyno tune and maybe dish out the money for tuning software to tweak around with later.

IF you order EFI Live from Wait4Me----> Sponsor, Jesse (the owner) will give you a custom tune to get you running and help you as you tweak it with the software. It does cost about $650-$800 plus you need a laptop to work with it in the truck. You can tune 2 PCM's with it. Additional license's are $99 each. Check out the website, more info. Or do a search on here, many threads about HP Tuners and EFI Live pros and Cons.
