Default what will it do?

I'm thinking of running 100 octane at thunder shootout, but will it make my A/F go lean or rich? I know it will help just want to know what it does to the tunning? thanks in advance, kevin

Ditto, plus it will smell cool.

I dont know if its gonna do alot of good unless you have the compression to help burn that fuel. Too bad you dont have HPT or Edit, you could make a track/100 octane tune with a bit hotter timing. Flash that hot tune while your there and take it out before you leave. Just a thought.

Unless you need the extra octane, it is not going to help and may actually hinder your performance. The higher octane makes the fuel burn slower so if you have a higher octane than you need to ward off detonation, you may not burn the complete fuel charge in the cylinder. If your tune is on teh edge of kr now, higher octane may help especially if you could bump the timeing a few degrees depending on how much you are currently running.

I was planning on doing that so I could run a few more degrees of timing and on my new setup Ill be running 10.5-1 CR so it would help I think. v8 are you going to hav ethe nitrous on there by then? I seem to remember you saying something about it in the TR thread.

No NOS for me it was a joke in that thread lol, i don't think i can bump up timming much more, i'm running 34 degrees now. and no sign of KR all the way to 7300 rpms, but the shift points are set at 6800 1-2 and 3-4, the 7300 was a big mistake on my part but we wont go there lol.
