Default VCM Scanner Boost PID/ Layout Guidance? (and EBC too...)

Hey guys so I've been trying to figure out the Innovate SCG-1 ebc and figure out why boost changes so damn much under wot. I was logging today and I'm having trouble making sense of the boost PID. I opened up the layout that my tuner was using on the dyno and one of the PID's is "Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure (SAE)" measured in InHg. But when I export the log to a CSV file, that column has some strange values at some rpm's. 31.8928 and 28's and 17's at 6000 rpm and stuff like that. The PID# says it's number 11. I guess what I'm asking is, are my PID's setup right to log boost correctly? Then I can make changes in the ebc (duty cycle, gain, etc) and log to see what on earth is going on. Seems like no matter what I do in the ebc, I get erratic boost levels under wot.

I've attached the CSV export, the actual VCM log file.

Well I may have answered part of my question. I changed unit value of Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure (SAE) to psi instead of InHg. I created another CSV export, then I sorted the PSI column from highest value to lowest value and looks like I must have my duty cycle too high, as I'm hitting my boost cutoff of 16psi. In the ebc, I have boost cutoff to occur at either 12.5 afr or at 16psi, and boost cuts off at 95%. So I think the erratic boost I've been experiencing has been the controller cutting off boost 95%, then reapplying 100%, then 95% again, etc etc. My afr's even at 16psi are still looking safe at 11.7-11.8 but I'm wondering how the controller "controlling" boost by cutting in and out can affect peak power (if at all)?

So reading into it a bit more, it looks like I should have the 2-bar sensor come up as a PID automatically?

http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...-reading-boost

It's strange because it actually shows a 3 bar PID as an option, but not a 2 bar.

Anyone know how I can correctly add the Cobalt SS 2-bar map sensor to read boost in VCM scanner?
