Unlocking PCM??

Default Unlocking PCM??

Is there a way to unlock a vin locked computer and reset it to factory settings?

If the pcm is tunerlocked you could lift the chip from the board & flash it on a chip burner. There are a few vendors that do this service ie frost, pcmforless I belive, not sure if any of the sponsorts on PT.net do it though.

if its in the vehicle, a dealer can do it too im pretty sure

A tunerlocked pcm changes the seed/key in the chip, meaning no dealer and no tunershop can flash it using the stock seed/key. Tech 2(dealer tool of choice) only knows the stock seed/key so it will not be able to flash it.

hmph, coulda sworn ive heard of people going to the dealership and the dealer doing an "update" and flashing over their stock locked tunes, hmph o well i've been wrong before

Well it's a Nelson tune and I emailed Allen to see if he would turn it back to stock for me and I ain't got a reply yet so I was wondering if there was a alternate route I could go
