Tuning as a Side Business?

I meant something different. If you take it from a Job to a real company than you could run into an issue
About twice a year the EPA goes in and closes around 5 or 6 shops (from what I here)
Casper's Electronics Inc. Clean Air Act | Enforcement | US EPA
H&S Performance :: Topic: EPA Crackdown (1/10)

For the future, I'm probably just gonna tune for spending money from time to time and maybe, when I get good enough, make a run at it, when I move out of Labrador, working in a licensed/insured speed shop.
As for the "authorities", I'm sure they would frown on anything I've already done to all my vehicles. As well as me doing personal mechanic work for friends and relatives already on top of that. I've done countless hours of work on a variety of equipment around town without an issue or hassle from customers.
So It's just another benefit to working in "The Land that God gave Cain" (as punishment for the first murder in Biblical history).

Through the course of this thread I decided to not do this as a business and that I was only going to do it for family and friends. I appreciate your input, but you wasted your time to post that, considering it was not something that endured past the first page.
I also appreciate your concern, but even if I were to start tuning professionally, I would only be doing it local to me. I'm not advertising online or looking to spread out continentally, I would be doing it on a case-by-case basis with people who I know and trust.
Having said that, I've done work for a few people around here, including my friends and family, without issue. That includes oil changes (which can go catastrophically bad), tire changes, exhaust work, engine work, etc. and no one walks away without a safety lecture and crash course on personal responsibility relating to the current changes I've made.
I'm also not concerned one iota by the EPA, if you noticed my location, I am far away from any place that the EPA would ever care about.

You will most likely enjoy tuning much more that way.

I'm planning on moving back out of Labrador sometime, if I've honed my tuning skills enough by then, I might try moving to a city with decent tuning scene and a place to get some work, without the hassle of starting my own business.
That's the only way I would turn it into a viable job choice. Otherwise, I just like making things run better and this really helps tremendously
