Custom tune, or get Hptuners and learn to do it yourself. Ive been slowely learning and tuning my 4.8 and its woken up quite a bit!

I heard some stuff about I believe it was a hypertech tune? I don't know if it Is any good. also there was another thread somewhere that I saw someone was saying something about a diablo tune, but no one ever went into detail about them. I just wanna get a tune on my truck to unlock some of its potential, before I start messing with it. lol then have the real fun.

Canned tunes (diablo, hypertech, superchips, etc..) are junk. Either take it for a custom tune, get Hptuners, or leave it alone.

HP Tuners is the best (and first) mod you should make but not before reading, and googling, and then reading and googling some more.
After that...cam and then long tubes/exhaust.

my old 01 4.8 rcsb 2wd came to life when I got to tuning on it! raised the limiter to 7,000rpm, raised the shift points etc... it had a good transmission and good valvetrain in it though, I don't know if I'd go spinning a stock 4.8 like that.
