tuning the 2.2L L4

So its not worth burning the credits on???
80rwhp??? Seriously?
I knew it was a dog but that's pathetic hahaha
In town I have only been getting about 20mpg... I've been "expecting" too much out of it I think

Seriously, they're 78RWHP for a 5 speed truck with 3.73's, Tuned about 85RWHP. You'd be wasting credits. Unless $100 is worth removing the top speed limiter to you. My dad's truck I managed to get it up to 112MPH but was running out of road after about 5 miles of planting it to the floor in 4th gear. They're the most gutless SOB'in truck's I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Needless to say, the old man was pissed that he spend $100 on me tuning it when there's nothing to be had out of it. With 3.73s and a tonneau, we wiggled 25MPG out of it at best. My 6L silverado gets 20MPG so that's why his sonoma is gone. He's rockin' a Silverado now.

I'm seeing around 25hwy and. 20city... That's honestly not much better than my turbo'd 5.3 fullsize with 60# injectors.... I'm getting around 13/14 city and around 20hwy.... And its a much nicer and more comfortable ride.

That's why I drive a silverado. I'm 6'2" and 300 lbs. I bought a '03 sonoma new off the lot and after a year of driving it I said F-it. Sold it and bought my Silverado. Best choice I ever made. If you've ever had the chance to drive a 1st gen S-series pickup they have tons more interior room and are actually ok to drive for a big guy. The dash is thinner, the doors are thinner and the seat is thinner. All 3 come together for much more interior space. I miss my first gen
Here's a pic of my '91 when it had about 200 miles on it. Man I miss that truck. No laughing at the color either, seafoam was cool back in '91. Also the 2.5L iron duke would stomp the daylights out of the 2.2L. I could actually lay a hardcore strip of rubber in 2 gears yanking the clutch right and chirp 3rd with 3.73's. The only thing I did when the truck was new was loosen up the distributor the advance the timing until the computer couldn't compensate anymore. Then I rotated the distributor even further until it pinged, then took it back just a hair. That truck would hit 104MPH in no time but then the rev limiter in 5th took over. If you ever shop for one, make sure the 8th digit in the VIN is the letter "A". That's the high output 2.5L. I never did get a clear answer as to what the difference was between the "A" and the "E" motor but the "A" motor is the fastest 4cyl truck I've ever driven in. I bet the new colorado's are faster though. At any rate enjoy the pic
