Transmission Trouble
#1
I have an 08 CCSB 4.8
I can push my tow haul button and the light comes on the dash but it doesnt kick out of OD... Same thing happens with the Traction Control, light come on but it still doesnt disengage... Anyone know what might be causing this?

Two things:
Tow/Haul doesn't disengage overdrive. It merely modifies the shift points and firmness.
Traction Control has 2 separate systems (3 on stability-controlled trucks), the button only disables 1 of them. So if the truck senses that overthrottle is causing wheelspin you will still get the throttle pulled out.

Well wtf is the point of having the buttons? Is there anyway to completely disengage the traction control/stabilitrak?

Go from a dead stop with and without the tow haul button on..
I set my tow haul button up to go to the lowest possible gear.. if im goin under 90mph it will drop down into 2nd gear.. under 50mph it drops to first..
