Add another tally in the HPT column.....GUI is superb...datalogging without a laptop is a plus, and real time tuning is the bomb....

Chalk one up for EFI Live here.

Haven't used HPT, but comparing screenshots I've seen, seems like comparing Windows 95 styling (HPT with the coloring and embedded buttons) to XP (EFI Lives color scheme, flat spreadsheet style layout).

Do both versions support SD tuning for all pcm's? I have an 05 2500HD and am worried for some reason that it will not be supported. I have a 408 with a turbo planned and probably 2 bar (fwiw)
Thanks

i use efi live...i love the way you can auto tune the ve tables and also having a custom operating system..i like using the commanded fuel vs rpm tables..command any A/F at any rpm and map pressures..city and cruise i have the A/F set at 16.5..and as the map pressures go up then it goes to 12.8.. i have never used hp tuners so i cant tell you whats better

Yes, both support SD tuning for all PCM and your truck.

I have efilive and love it also. Works great for tuning my turboed truck in SD and the commanded fuel vs rpm tables is really nice too .

With our vcm enhancements, 2bar and 3bar, we offer you real time tuning which you don't get with others.

Check it out here:
http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_editor_rtt.htm

Here's an example:
http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_edi...xamples_ve.htm

Either VCM Suite product you buy, $499 with MPVI Std or $649 with MPVI Pro will allow you to convert your vehicle to a 2 or 3 bar application, real time tune it, AND license other vehicles as well.

Also, per the comparison, we support 2bar on more vehicles than anyone else, which includes 98 LS1 vehicles, as well as 05 corvettes and 05-06 GTO's.

Out of the box, our product supports more vehicles and gives you more licenses at a more affordable price.

Here's the link incase it was overlooked. HP Tuners vs. EFI Live

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

Thanks!

One thing I'll say that's steering me toward EFILive is that HPTuners doesn't have a demo download while EFILive does. I've probably spent 10hr poking around the EFILive demo. Is there any way to try the HPTuners stuff out before purchasing? The software should be 100% worthless without a license key and hardware, correct?

All that said, I'm still quite torn between the two products, but guessing in the end I'll be happy with either.
