Default Stroker motor tuning

Can a stroker motor be tuned via mail order or would it it need dyno tuned?

Why don't you tell us what kind of stroke motor, the specs on it, year, your truck, etc.

Short answer no though.

a mail order tune might point you in the right direction but it will need a good street or dyno tune to get it spot on and to get the drivability down.

Seems like it would be quite a bit harder to do a mail order tune if he's talking about lets say a 350 stroked to a 383 in a 98 chevy.

I have a 6.0 stock short block and want to put a 4 in. stroke crank in it around 10.5 comp. and afr 225's and mild cam. I don't know of any tuners close to memphis so i couldn't just run down the road to get a tune.

Edit. 05 truck.

I ran the Nelson mail order for a while and dropped 4 tenths after it was street tuned. If no one is close I don't see a problem running a mail order until you can get it tuned right. Usually mail order is conservative so you won't mess anything up.
