I haven't turned my trims back on yet to offer any of my opinions with those questions, but I'd like to take a wack at the not using PE thing.

I certainly can see why you would choose to not use it. But I have been experimenting with the pe/be thing and I think it is very helpful. There is plenty of times that I can be in pe and not be. I just simply don't have boost yet, but I have my pe on at 93kpa. so there is some time there before 105kpa I am enjoying the "leaner" scenario because the "richer" scenario isn't needed yet. And as you know, that could be over a sorta wide RPM spectrum. Just completely experimental for me, I have no idea if it is more powerful that way. But I am not defending me keeping the pe, I am defending the way I drive, I at 45% to 65% tps ALOT and border the boost line.

WOT, yeh...no pe.

I just set the PE to something reasonable and run up the BE values from there. As you add manifold pressure, you need a slightly richer mixture-to a point.

An advantage of BE is that you can richen/lean out a particular MAP line to suit your vehicle. The biggest advantage is that you can adjust your PE (BE) value to suit the manifold pressure.

If you are 1 bar + MAF you can only achieve the PE value which may not be optimal if you are not at full boost.
And the final benefit of a 2bar table is that you can go into the VE and richen or lean a particular area to suit the engines needs.
As with EC's description you can see the oppurtunity to still ignore pe, but I also see how it could be utilized, at least in my driving style. Obviously turbo knows this, and being a really awesome tuner, I'd imagine he can tune around many things in his tune all day long. I just wanted to offer another side. LOL I seem to do that alot lately eh? Thread topic though...I am not going back to the maf once my ve is locked in.

Actually Allen is going to tune it for me. he's also going with a SD tune for his AValanche And is going to help me get mine to an SD. I guess i'll have to get a 2 bar map somewhere ?
