I have a 99 silverado 4.8 auto. I started it this morning and the battery light stayed on and the odometer isnt there, also no ac. I drove it to work, it ran and drove fine but no ac and battery light is on still. It sat all day and when leaving work 8 hrs later it was still on, so I slammed the door and the battery light went off, the odometer lit up and the air came back on. I drove 20 miles home with no issues, let it set for an hour and started it back up and the battery light is back on, no odometer and no ac. I have googled, and searched for hours to see if this has happened before but cant find anything. So far ive cleaned body grounds and checked all fuses. Ive had a couple people tell me the cluster is bad, but would this affect the ac also? Any advice is appreciated.
