Silverdo pcm

Default Silverdo pcm

Im looking to buy another extra pcm for my truck but a have one question does any 99-06 silverado truck pcm would work? the reason im asking this is because my truck is an 05 and has the electronic trottle body and the early models have the cable TB..
Any one that can tell me some imput on this would be greatly appreciated

1999-2002 used a 512kb PCM with the Blue and Red connectors. The 2003-2007 used the 1mb PCM with the Blue and Green connectors. The DBW components are interchangeable (As far as I know) from 03-05. You would need a 2003-2007 PCM for your setup. I would just get another 2005 PCM.

EDIT: An 03-07 PCM should work with the appropriate Operating System flashed in. An 05 operating system would seem best in your case.

Ah ok so it better of getting an 05 pcm, would a pcm from an HD silverado work even if they have the 6.0?

An 03-07 PCM with the appropriate operating system flashed in would work. An 05 operating system would probably be best for your application. Whether it came from a 4.8/5.3/6.0 doesn't matter. It will need to be reflashed anyway.

^ok yea the ecu would be reflashed anyways just was a little confussed
