OK, I'll Dyno tune first telling the tuner to drop the TM and see how that goes.

So........... I have two choices of tuners at the Dyno shop. Ones uses HPTuners and the other LS1 Edit. What flavor do you guys favor?

You don't want to be barking the tires while driving around cruising. That's bad for it.
Yea, that usualy ends up breaking the output shaft... ask me how i know..

Holy moly. I'll just tune it as is and have the tranny builder do it in hardware. As for TM. I'll ask the tuner (HP) what he thinks. I'll not take it all out for sure. I'm getting sweaty palms over here worrying about another $2k build.

What amount of TM do you guys remove and feel safe?

I'm looking at using Roy @ Atlanta Performance & Fabrication on the tune. I hear he is great.

I think James B. said it best regarding removing any amount of torque management - it's going to shorten the lifespan of the 4l60e. I think a generally accepted amount that people remove is 40-60%.
