Default Reset ecu after intake & exhaust?

I put a volant cold air kit with the ram air scoup on last week... car dropped 1 mpg. Ill chalk that up to me running it harder to hear that sound.

Today the Gibson cat back with dual sweep side came and i had it installed.

Some one at the exhaust shop said " your going to need to reset the ecu so it will learn you have these new parts"

Now i know years ago people did this but does it help anything now? its on a 2001 model.

IF so, then how do I reset the ecu?

No need to reset, it will relearn it anyway and would run rough on the initial startup after a reset if you did it that way.
