Default Please HELP with AEM Wideband install!!!

Ok Im in the middle of installing some gauges in my truck and I need some help with the wideband..

Do I just put the new o2 sensor in the stock front bung on the drivers side? Is the a better place to put it?

I would like to use it as a wide and narrow band sensor(replace my stock sensor with this one) how to I set it up so it will do that?

ALSO:

I am using and Auto meter pillar pod and I have some big *** wires coming through the bottom, but should I have to trim anything to get them to all fit? or is there a secret place where they will magicly fit through?

Thank you for your help

I would install it in place of the rear O2 and just "turn" off the DTC for it. You need the front O2 to be working with the PCM.

I dont know about simulating a narrowband on the AEM... I fried to many lc-1's doing this. I would just use the bung they supplied with the AEM. I am just using the stock location, But I tune in and run Open Loop.

How do I hook it up so that I can log it in hptuners?

What is the best switched power source to splice into?

I Welded in the bung that came with it, up by the front o2s. about three weeks ago there was a post where someone told about a fuse in the main(under the hood) that was for rear steer or somthing that we don't use. I'd like to find that post again cause now I have wires coming from the door fuse panel running into the engine compartment. You can tuck the wires in between the dash and a pillar for the Gauge pod and it's hardly noticable.

I got the wires all hidden, like that, but I was just wondering if there was a better way.

I just need to get my power and grounds hooked up and put the sensor in the stock bung now.

But how do I set it up to log on hptuners?

Ive got a triple pod so you can imagine how many wires I have going behind it lol.

To log in HPtuners, Once your wideband is installed, Power Ground..etc.
Hook the white wire into IEO #1 (top pin) The Blue is un used. Open VCM Scanner, Click on Table Display, At the the bottum Right click on "IEO Input #1" Click Insert, open Wideband 02, Scroll down to "wideband 02-AEM, Doubble click then save config and your done.

That will get you up and running.. tuning with is another subject.

cool thank you

I only have one problem now...lol

I cant figure out which wire I can use to hook up power! I need a 10A switched wire to hook up my gauges and my wideband to.

I tried a couple different wires with no luck. An orange wire gave me power all the time and a green/white one gave none at all so Im pretty muched comfused on how to find the correct wire because Im not an electrical genius. There are just too many damn wires on this bitch.

Red is power, Black is ground and white is output to IEO for data logging. I will tell you how I hooked mine up. I need to be real portable for tuning. So I just picked up a Cigarette lighter adapter from radio shack and used that for power and ground witch is a has a 10amp fuse built in the adapter. Not a clean install by any means but is like a 5 min hook up in any truck. Problem with this is you have to manualy plug it in if you want a wideband, And your looking for a more permanent install.

Anyways.. I did mount one in a friends truck, No data logging just power and ground. I found a fuse with a test light that only powered on with the key. For a ground there are two post left of the fuse box. I grounded there.... Only problem would be getting the white wire to your IEO... You can cut the AEM wire casing so you can streatch the white wire to your IEO... Or relocate your HTP interface if need be.
