I put this question on LS1truck a while back and they said to look around over here, well actually LS1tech.

Is there a narrative existing anywhere that sets forth in paragraph form or outline form, the logic of the PCM? Such as what does what, when, and in what sequence when referencing the flat files based upon a sensor input.

 

Ive never heard of such a thing Im sure there is though but its probably delphi propritary and they dont like to share it. I would post this on ls1tech and also the hp tuners web site, hpt guys should be able to knowlegably address it.

When you say sensor input what type of input? Are you looking for electrical schematics or how the pcm interprets the signals, something like this is gonna be very hard to find because manufacturers dont like people copying what they spend millions on to develope.

as for exactly how it al works. shoot. i have yet to find one on that.

 

Not so much raw sensor values in voltage.

I do not want the source code either because I am not interested in copying anything proprietary.

Just a good narrative of what happens as other things happen and how the various sensor inputs are utilized in concert with the flat files (maps) to control the powertrain.
