Are you just throwing a P1516 or are there others as well? Are you running an X-Link?

 

Diag the problem first.

Then figure out your options, DBC can only be done if your computer allows it and not many do.

 

Hi I came across this thread, maybe y'all can help me out. Few weeks ago my 2003 Chevy Silverado 3500 8.1 vortex would stall out at idle or hesitate while driving, so I change fuel filter, air filter, clean throttle body clean MAF and MAP senors. Still giving me problems, so I bought a new map senor, then I bought a whole new throttle body and pigtail now I'm getting a p1516 code and reduced engine power. But when I put the old throttle body back on the code disappears but I'm back to my truck stalling out. I went ahead and replaced ground wire from battery to block with 8awg coated wire. I thought the computer would relearn the new throttle body. Thanks
