Hey guys im usually on Tech and i have a problem with my 2005 Sierra CC. Well the check engine light came on and i pulled the code and it was P0442 someothing about EVAP and a small leak or whatever. Well i went ahead and googled it and came to this site and found some info on it and orded the new evap canister and filter thing a magig. #19207763 from Rock Auto. If yall have any input let me know thanks guys.

 

It's hard to say with out Doing some actual diagnostic work.

Bad gas cap and the Evap Canister Vent Valve solenoid are usually the 2 most common things.

A faulty tank Pressure sensor can also cause this issue.
