I was towing a car home on a long trip yesterday and this code popped up. The truck ran perfectly the whole time. I have had it one time before a couple of months ago as well. Is this something to worry about? Is this because I have a de-screened MAF? I still have the stocker and I have swapped between the 2 in years past and never found any difference in driveability either way, so I just left the de-screened one in.
02 Denali AWD
5.7 LS6 block/heads/cam swapped for the original 6.0 LQ4
stock truck PCM/tune
cut out cat convertors
aftermarket air filter/intake tube
de-screened MAF
Accel plugwires

I have pulled this code many times and have even replaced the maf and still pull the code. For whatever it is worth I almost always pull this code in part throttle around 2000-2200 rpm's holding between gear changes .

I always get it when there is some sort of load on the engine like going up a slight incline and around part throttle or so just before it should change gears but the rpm's just aren't quite there so it stays in gear longer than usual. I started getting this code after I pullied down the radix also had a new trans put in. Not sure if those are affecting it or not.

I recently started throwing this code and the P1125. im basically stock with bolt ons. I switched out the MAF yesterday for one with no screen and threw the code again. So basically have thrown it with and without a screen. Maybe the VOLANT places the MAF too close. I have a stock air box that im going to throw on tonight. Before this i replaced the TAC MODULE and the THROTTLE BODY. I called my tech guy at the dealership and hes going to look it up for me.

I bet yall are maxing out MAF Rationality Test table.....
Your tuner should probably increase that table by a certain percentage... Also if your ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) should probably adjusted as well....
Just my .02.... I could be wrong thou...
This table defines the maximum difference that is allowed between the calculated airflow (using MAP) and actual measured airflow (MAF).
Just my .02.... I could be wrong thou...
