Default P 174

P 0174, my mistake...

"system too lean, bank 2"

truck is giving me this **** now, anyone ever had it? potential causes?

I had this code in combination with the MAF code, cant remember what that was, but cleaning the maf solved the problem, at least temporarily. now the 174 is back, but no maf code. any ideas?

Its often the intake manifold gaskets leaking but there's a ton of potential causes.

okay, any potential of a bad maf causing that code? I have a feeling that the maf is going bad.

Or how about an exhaust leak at the collector? Pretty sure I have one those going on.

Bad MAF will make both banks go lean. Probably not your issue.

Exhaust leak, yes. Bad O2, yes. Clogged injector(s) and/or bad cat, yes.

Okay, I am replacing header gaskets to eliminate a leak that may or may not be the cause. The gasket on the #2 bank, passenger side header looked good, replaced anyway, but may not solve the problem.

Here's another question, I drove around today, monitoring with my handheld scanner, looking at fuel trims and O2 readings, and everything looks good. Bank 2 is running the same trims (long and short) as bank one. O2s are doing good, switching quickly. If I am running lean, would I see that in the trims?
