Default oem trans temp gauge

My truck was orginally equipped with the 60e. I have done the 80e swap while back. I know the trucks without the gauge are setup for the gauge regardless. But when the tranny swap is made does everything still work if the gauge is added..thanks Nick

I would assume so, seeing that the majority of the heavy duty trucks that came factory with the gauge also had the 80e. Assuming you wired it in correctly the gauge should work.

Well I bought the harness from nelson so it was just plug and play minus two pins that had to be added to the harness. I ordered a white overlay with the trans temp, new stepper motor and needles. So I hope so, I will take pics and do a how to if it works. I already have blue leds soildered in so I will just add the extra led for the trans gauge.

You could have done what I did and added an Aeroforce gauge.
