Default o2 sensors

will ls1 o2s work on a 03 5.3L motor? The plugs i have on my harness are the square type (they look like the ls1 style ones) I just need to know if it will read correctly.

ask in tuning, if theres any problem, it will be with the signal that they send (omhs may very well be different) which will cause them to no work.

BTW, I have a set of rears (square) that I just pulled off my 02 5.3L two days ago. They are perfectly funtional, make me an offer if you want them.

As long as you have the square kind. I would talk to a tuner. I know that GM made several variants of o2 sensor for each year. Hell, there are like 4 different options for the 2002 model year, just for the 5.3L. call GM and find ask for the part # for your truck and mine...if they match, atleast you know they are the same, and a tuner should be able to tell you if the 02 signal from the rear is the same as the 03.

Yeah, I don't know but I was thinking of replacing my fronts to see if it cures a weird A/F issue I have on occasion.
I have a set of rear o2's just hanging around.

everybody puts vette rear sensors in the front. A narrowband oxygen sensor is just that. They read 0 to 1 volt. They may have different specs due to different locations in the stream. But they should work as long as you get the wires right (concerning the different plugs).

moved to tuning btw.

what do you mean different specs? Wouldn't the specs dictate whether or not they would work in a different application?
