Need normal 80E log file with TCC mode
Does anyone have a 80E log file that shows normal TCC behavior? With PIDs for TCC Mode, Slip, RPM, Gear, TPS, etc.
EFILive or HPT
I'm seeing it go to AppEn mode at times when there is no lockup commanded, for example all of 2nd gear. And slip increases whenever it is in this mode. I have attached the description for this mode.

Oops sorry I misread this. My brother has a van with an 80e stock. I can try and grab you an efilive log later today if I get time and someone doesnt beat me to it. Is there anything special you would like me to do? Like hold it in 2nd, accelerate or maintain a specific speed or RPM?

Slip is actually less when in Off mode.
Been chasing a heat issue since I got this trans....it's not driveable. Just want to make sure the tune is behaving normally. Seems to be the trans itself, because it continues to heat up even when fully locked with 0 slip logged. Swapping converters has no effect. New 40K cooler installed with the trans.
In the logs I also see increased slip, rather than decreased when engine RPM exceeds the converter stall speed.

That's what I was expecting to see, but the temp just keeps climbing the more it is driven, doesn't matter how cool the ambient temp is or how easy it is driven. Tons of fluid flow if you pop the return line off, at least when it is in P/N. Not logging any internal slip counts either. Pressure is full time 210 psi(no PCM control).

Based on Pat's log file it appears that AppEn is normal from the 1-2 shift on up anytime the TPS is over about 16%. I think I am seeing more slip then he does in AppEN though...both my converters are supposed to be tight..2400-2600. I guess the lower slip in TCC Off mode is just due to that fact that it is only Off when the throttle backs off(decel). Otherwise it will be AppEn or Locked.
So if the tune is good, there has to be an issue with the trans.
