Default Is my problem PCM related or Mechanical?

Is my problems electronic? computer/wiring?? ? ? The PCM still thinking my 80e is a 60e transmissive. But it has been tuned by my tuner with 80e patterns, etc. My truck was tuned to run my 80e tranny with the relay mod. The shift tables were all changed as well. Truck drove great after, put 3000 miles on it couple days after the tune. Only difference would be I moved from 3.73s to 4.88s gears. The gears feel awesome. I need to figure out whats going on here with this transmission. Here is a link to my other thread. I need to know if my problem is PCM related, or Mechanical. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...uzzled-506725/

I agree with Vince (in the other thread) as the PCM only controls 1-4 gears, not forward/reverse. I think you just got bad luck with 2 transmissions in a row. Either roll the dice and try your 3rd, or get one properly built.

Just FYI, if your doing burnouts, put the shifter in manual 2nd gear, start the burnout, and shift to 3rd gear (make sure it shifts). Otherwise, you are asking your transmission to fail.
