ok my dad just called me and said he went to vatozone and they scanned his truck with there cracker jack scanner. the code its giving he said is P1258, then he said the read out says

"the ecm detected the engine temp over 270f"

"failed ect sensor-open circuit"

"poor connection at the ect sensor"

"open electrical circuit"

he also told me he has been losing alot of coolant right under the water pump, which im guessing is the gaskets. but he always makes sure it has enough coolant in it.

so what do you guys think is the prob? its hard for me to help him out being i cant look at the truck..
