Default maf calibration..

Anyone have a maf calibration link for dummies? I've searched over at HP Tuners but for some reason I can't open the attachments for the maf vs. ltft/stft histograms, which I believe is what I need. I don't have a wideband so I'm unsure what other method I can use. Thanks.

My first suggestion would be to go get yourself a wideband. With the mods you have, the LTFT and STFT start to become a whole lot less accurate, and you will need a wideband to get that fueling dialed in. You just wont get the most out of that setup until you wideband tune the VE, MAF, and PE tables. Then you can just work the MAF HZ vs AFR error % when you calibrate the MAF. It's much much easier and quicker that way and as said before, much more accurate.

yeh I am with chrisj6, wideband or lose some accuracy that you do have. The MAF isn't an easy beasy with the wb, let alone using other calcs.

Well the MAF is tough to keep a smooth straight curve. Make sure you get lots of samples through the curve in different gears, that will give you the most accurate reading to make changes to the table. Just make sure you dont make any radical changes in a line of close values. Ex...if you have like an AFR error or Fuel trim of 3 3 3 2 3 in a row and then you get a 7, you dont want to throw that 7 in there, because you know its not correct. Thats a major reason some people get bumps or spikes in their MAF curve. I always make a smoothing pass or two of the whole curve after I get done making a round of changes just to insure it stays smooth.
