Hi, first post.

I have a 2005 LQ4 6.0 manual in a 2500 HD chevy truck.

It has started going in to limp mode. The first time I re started it drove it to autozone scaned it, did not write down the code. Cleared it drove fine for a week. Now it has started do do it a lot. have not scaned it yet so do not know what code it is poping. It has little to no power right now and I am on the road.

The truck does have a banks intake, stock exhaust, Amsoil 5w30 oil,

I usually clean the TB and maf every summer but have not yet this year.

92,xxx miles stock plugs and wires.

It has 91 in it now but gets 87 a lot.



Ok truck is at dealer, they want to replace TB and clean the fuel system.

I think this kind of BS, they want 620 for a TB. **** I can buy a BBK for 370$

Sounds like you went to the wrong dealer... There is a TSB for the wiring on these trucks.

My truck was doing this and I recently got it right my problem was a ground wire behind the intake manifold that was coming loose ..its also a 2005 silverado and I was getting those codes I changed tb and the tac module and it would still do the same

I hope they check all of the other stuff as well as the TB.
Its a work truck and I am on the road right now so I am kind of at there mercy.
Will show them the TSB.
Wish I would have seen this before I took the dam thing in.
