Just to clarify the Lean Cruise "Patch".. EFI Live did not develop it, it is still blocked by the software for EPA purposes... However several EFI Live users have the ability/knowledge to be able to crack/make patches for the software. The lean cruise patch allows us to use the lean cruise functionality...

Turning off some ses codes can be a necessity in many applications such as disabling vats, etc so not all are necessarily bad.

Lean cruise is simply illegal in the states and is a big no no here.

You'll notice efi NEVER implemented lean cruise, it was their own user base that did so, we've stated we will NOT be allowing our customers to hack bins through our software it just leaves too much room for error that could lead to very bad things and simply put will not risk the future of our company for this.

As for the quick lock & deletion I appologize as it may seem to have been "abrasive" but in no way did I mean it as such, emissions/lean cruise related posts I will usually respond to let it sit for a few hours so the original poster can view the response and then delete it from eyes of public and so forth. Read between the lines there

Yup, we have alot of tuners & tunershops alike with this knowledge but most of them can do it in hex as well so its usually a non issue to them

All and all I think that everybody over at hptuners does a pretty good job with everything, tech support, updates, etc.... I personally am very happy with hp and wouldnt have anything different at this point.

I am sure that efilive puts out a great product but I am just so familiar with hptuners and I like how it's laid out.

We put out a new beta version every week, we just aren't yet ready to make it public due to some scanning issues a few customers are facing...since beta's are on a pretty small scale if 4 or 5 people run into the same scanner issue there will likely be hundreds that have the problem if we released it publicly.

Bottom line is when we put out a public build its because we are confident is has as few issues as humanly possible without sacrificing new features.

The last thing we need is to release something publicly that has bug after bug and then see threads regarding that

Oh its a big no no but changing my PE or my fuel curve is nothing. An after market cam and no cats, why would anyone think that was an issue. Perhaps all the threads about deleting catalitic converters and how to shut off the rear O2's should be deleted too..

Someone is smoken grass if they think the use of their software by their customers has even a 1% complience rate with the EPA regs. HPT or EFI Live.
