Another reason for me to get angry with my HPT....... HPT seems to not give a **** lately with their product. They've been promising us a lot of "auto" features for months. I used to preach how good HPT was years ago but I'm not impressed with their product by any means now. Way to go EFI Live. Hope you win more customers.

Amen Brother! Seems EFI is listening to what their existing customers want and getting it implemented instead of focusing on broadening their customer base!

HPT I know you are seeing these complaints. I am about this || close to dumping HPT and switching to EFI and then doing the things I need to do with my tune and showing everyone how great EFI is in doing it!

I agree. It's very clear that they don't care about what the customer wants anymore. Starting to wish I went with EFI myself.

Case in point...http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...747#post165747

Asked about lean cruise and instant thread lock with no explanation or discussion.

Edit: They even went as far as deleting the thread completely not just locking it.
Very poor response to a legitimate question.

The answer is a simple one, we will not be allowing modification of lean cruise with our software, its illegal in the states and we will not be challenging the EPA on this guys. You'll notice on our forum anything emissions related is deleted very quickly as this is a touchy subject that we will not get involved in as the industry is already on edge.

As far as transient tables we've had them in our software since the beginning but in all honesty most of our customers have never touched these tables so some of the newer LS1 pcm/calibrations we didn't waste the time in adding them.

KYSilverado, your request for transient tables is on our to do list for your os as you are the only person to request them through support thus far, I'll shoot our head engineer an email regarding them to see where it stands.

Thanks guys

-Bill

Thank you for the explanation Bill.

It's nice to get a little more explanation and I understand the position although I don't feel that the lean cruise issue is any different than some of the abilities we already have, like disabling SES lights for rear O2's. Unless there is specific wording written in the law that states the that "lean cruise" cannot be used. If there is I would appreciate if someone could point it out to me.

Neither here nor there it just seams that one way or another the EFI guys are getting what they want much faster and it's frustrating to us HPT guys.
