Default LC-1 wiring question.....

The instruction says hook the yellow wire up to the headlight power wire (a wire that supplies current to the headlights and not connect this wire to the headlight dimming wire). So, my question is, can I hook it to the Dash light wire for the gauges or do I need to run the wire to the actual headlight power wire in the headlight switch?

Thanks.

what wire exactly did you end up using? I'm wondering the same thing right now and can't find anything searching....

I just searched through the wires under the dash with my voltage checker until I found the wire that was hot only when the truck was on.

This was for my 1990 so the information I give you probably wouldn't help. But you do have to find the power wire for the headlights....the dimmer wire doesn't work.

oh ok, didn't realize the gauge install was in your obs, just assumed for some reason it was in your 07...

After a bunch of searching and trial and error I ended up using the solid green wire behind the light switch, then the largest gage pink wire right under the steering column...
