Granted the quick blips can still be real, but you won't get held down when there isn't knock with this setting. Like Yelo says, false tends to show up in the same places in all gears.

Just a helpful note. I hate looking at that graph and seeing 2* of kr then it taper down for the next 2 to 3 seconds.

^^^^^^This works well, I heard dewmanshu say something about it a few weeks ago and tried it.

104 octane Sunoco unleaded race fuel helped me with my false knock, I was eeing 2-3° of knock even with teh 104 octane fuel. I installed a 1996 LT4 Corvette knock sensor module and now I see none.

Hmmm I get absolutely no KR in any gear, in any circumstance, in any engine load, with high heat outside, A/C on, climbing a hill, towing a car you get the idea !!! I used to get it all the time until I worked on my VE first. Then my spark dwell time, then my timing table!! I found out that spark dwell time changes a **** load!!!!!!!!!!!! Even with my timing exactly the same, changing the dwell time took almost all of my KR out!! Set the scanner up to read the data you need, then try dropping the dwell time slightly, like .1 or so if the knock starts to fade then you're on the right track. Get the KR down to no more than 3* using the dwell time, then fix your timing table from there

I got the LT4 knock module from my local GM dealership. It cost $60 CAN. It will bolt in to any 96-2000 old black body PCM used in teh trucksa, Lt4's and LT1 cars. I am not sure about the new PCM's, I doubt it would work.

No the race gas wont hurt my engine. What you have to worry about is if you use a leaded race fuel in a vehicle with cats. Thr lead will coat the cats honeycomb rendering them useless. I was running Sunoco 104 octane UNLEADED race fuel.. Boy it smelled awesome coming out the exhaust.
