[FONT=Arial]If you turn on the tow/haul mode while your racing does it make a difference? Also, i'm planning on taking my truck to the dragstrip and was just wanting some tips on how to do it right since i've never raced there before.

Tow mode just raises the rpms and keeps gear longer in normal driving. at WOT there's no difference in operation. I'd leave it off.
Since you're on street tires i can only assume, don't bother doing a burnout, as that will just "glaze" the tires over and you will loose traction. You'd think this would be obvious but you'd be surprised how many people make this mistake.
Hold the brake and raise the rpms to around 1500 if you can, just before the tires break loose. When the last light before green lights, hit it. Don't go WOT right away, as you'll just sit and spin, ease it out until you're at a speed that will hook up. Just experiment really. Practice makes perfect.

After you do your burnout, or don't, if you can get around the water pit and keep the tires dry don't do a burn out. If you get your tires wet I would do about a 2 second spin just to dry em off. Now, ease up until the first yellow on your side lights up. Wait for the guy in the other lane to ease up until his first yellow lights up. The you ease up some more until your 2nd yellow lights up. Stop and get ready. When the other guy eases up and his 2nd yellow lights up, its gonna be a quick trip to green. At least that's how it was at the track I went to. If you get spanked, make sure you let off after the 1/8th is over. Don't do a ricer flyby to the guy in the other lane. You wouldn't believe how many times I saw this the one time I ran at the track. Let him move to the left/right an exit first. You probably want to follow him off the track anyway cause you never ran there before. My .02 Have fun!
