I got the 89/91 Hot tune, for here in sunny CA. we dont have any 93! and the gas sucks too!
Finished the install and it started right up, no key relearn or SES light or anything! Ran it around really hard and it seemed to pull great, expecially around 3000 rpm and up!
Forgot to unistall the HPPIII so had to put the stock PCM back in, unload the HPPII to stock and re-install the Wester's.
Dont hear any pinging at slower speeds but i may be pinging at top end? Doing 70 mph and slam it, drops down into 3rd (?) and screems. I might have some ping when i do that? Not quite sure. Scary how hard it pulled, 70-90 in like 3 seconds.
Bad new is unfortunately my E-fans are running continuesly. I hope we can get that resolved soon!

your pinging will go away as you keep hammering on it, it's not uncommon and Lyndon usually tunes fairly conservative, I have a 91/93 Hot tune. You should always run the dog **** out of a new tune the first few miles so it learns your driving style. The e-fan issue you will have to check with your Wester's rep, or Lyndon himself to find out the values the pcm is set at to turn the fans on/off. Or you could always dump the stock thermostat and go with a 170*, VINCI, a site sponsor sells these, or a 180*. Either way it should get your temp low enough to shut off the fans. When I first received my Wester's the values were set at on/212* off/195*, but I'm running a 170* stat, so I had them changed to on/195* off/185 and it's perfect. Either way you choose a great guy to do business with and his tunes are excellent.

Yeah, probably has the temp too low. My thermostat is stock and i dont want to change it. I dont think running the fans constantly for a week will hurt it while we wrinkle out a new tune, will it?
