Default Installed W4Me tune WTF?

I installed my w4me tune today and the truck feels way stronger and faster. The only messed up thing is that the truck pings like crazy and the tranny slips still. not as much as last time bu, still slips. It also surges when I come to a stop, It will rev to about 1000 to 1500 rpm. I installed my stock pcm and it runs fine, I think Im gonna have to send it back. The power is there is just the minor details. what do you guys think?

Pinging is BAD !!!!, I'd return the PCM based strictly on that alone....SEND IT BACK !! I've heard good things about Jesse and I'm sure he'll work with you to correct the issue.....

mine did the 1000-1500 thing and I just had to pull the PCM plugs and reinstall them and it worked. Try that but then agian pinging is in tune for sure.

Ya if the tranny slips the tune can't help that....on the surging not sure.On the ping...is it a 93 tune and are you running 93?Other than that maybe a little too much timing or just too lean...send it back and let him fix it up for you ethier way though.

The truck has roughly 50k on it Do you think I need my tranny built. I have a transgo and it works fine with the stock tune. Im running the 93 tune and Ive been filling my tank with trick fuel for the past 3 weeks. I dont use it that often. Friday to sunday. the tune is going back for sure. do you think I should tell him to leave the tranny settings alone?

If the tranny works fine with the stock tune just tell him what its doing. If you are running the transgo shift kit with the 490 boost valve You can get by without changing much on the trans pressure chart. You could have him do a little on the performance side then when you put it in tow haul it will chirp the tires going into second and maybe third. My tranny has the transgo hd2 kit and it shift real firm in normal mode and chirps the tires in tow haul. If you had a loose connection in pc circuit, the trans would default, the pressures max out and it would set a p0741.
So I don't think you have wiring problem.

I think hes being too agressive with the tranny. What do you think about the pinging, should I get a lower octane tune. Any info would help, thanks.
