Now I think I'm high from breathing exhaust fumes while logging the truck at idle

Tee hee!

Ow, my head hurts

Schweet!!

Got my avg RAFIG down to like 0.06 g/sec and my avg RAFPN to 0 exactly after idling for 4-5 minutes each in park and in gear. Drives like a charm now! They were both maxed at 1.50 when I started, hence my problems.

Idle is set at 725 RPM. I get a slight drop when I shift from P to D since it kicks into gear right away, no drop when I go from P to R because there is the 1-second delay before it drops into gear and the IAC has time to compensate.

The bouncing RPM when coasting slow in N is gone too. Sticks right around 725.

RAF looks good and is really not to far off from a truck I was working with close to the same setup. Had some bad cruise affect off idle and around 20mph after RAF. Have a fix if your doing the same.

Explain cruise effect....not sure what you're talking about.

I found out tonight that it makes a HUGE difference if you are doing your idle logging with the headlights on or off.....I guess loading up the alt a little bit really changes idle. I finally got it straightened out, but I go from -0.40 g/sec P/N headlights off to 0.40 HL on, and -0.60 g/sec IG HL off, 0.60 IG HL on.

What I ment by cruise effect... Low speed cruise... Or better yet put it in drive and take your foot on the brake on a straight road, You should not be hitting 25-30 mph. Not saying you are but I had issues with a simialr set up.

Hey Thunder,
When I get back in the USA, I would like to get a copy of your tune to compare to mine. I am still having the same issues of rpm jumping between P/N P/D etc...but it idles ok, even with the AC on.

That would be these tables for you. Min would idle fine once it bounced around for a little bit. Tweaking these tables helped stop the jumping around. Lemme know when you get back and I'll send my tune over.
