Default HPTuners wont connect with PCMCIA Card?

Can anyone help me trouble shoot this? This is my first time trying this and I just installed the PCMCIA card. I have checked the setup for the card and everything looks good, but I keep getting the cable wont connect. Ive tried using the scanner and flasher and the same thing happens. Ive even disabled the other ports so only the High Speed Communications Port (COM4 and COM5) are enabled. Cig lighter fuse is good (cig lighter still works), car is in "run" and the setting are:
Bits Per second: 11520
Data: 8
Parity: None
Stop: 1
Flow Control: None
as per HPTuners website. I guess I shouldve started on this a while ago instead of putting it off.
Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem, you have to use the disk it came with or go online and install the appropriate driver

Im using the disk. Ive installed and uninstalled (b/c of the yellow exclamation points) 20 times. Ive installed it every way I can think of. I keep getting a code 37 Windows cannot initialize the device for this hardware. Im getting really PISSED!! I dont have any clue. Could I have gotten a bunk card?

Im using windows XP and WAS using a card that I got from Newegg that was supposed to be compatable. I gave up today and for the hell of it I went and got a Keyspan USB to Serial adapter. It has worked flawlessly. I wish I wouldve started this tuning stuff earlier. Im totally clueless. I need to get a wideband, some LS1 fans, and a smaller pulley and belt. Im getting alot of slip with this 113" belt.
