Default HP Tuners: Standard or Pro?

I've been looking at buying the HP Tuners program so I could do my own tuning on the truck... What real advantages, if any, does Pro have over the standard edition for a guy who just wants to tune his truck and adjust TM and converter lockup? Not looking to do any custom tunes for anyone else, just want to learn how to tune it myself so I dont have to keep paying someone to do it every time I change or add something. Also, can someone help me out with a little tutorial on how this works? Never done any tuning before, but I've been told its pretty simple. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

this should answer most of the questions http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2924 ...if you have anything more specific you'd like to know ask away I would definitly spend the $149 now rather then realizing it a month from now & having to spend $289 to upgrade.

i would go pro never know if you might need it. it might be nice to use a wide band o2 one day. or other stuff you might wanna hook up to it to help tune with.

I was in the same boat as you where. I bought HPTuners thinking "why do I need to scan my wideband and other inputs? Dyno jet has its own scan program?" Now a year later I'm waiting for the ups man to deliver my new Pro MPVI.

I would get the pro, even if you don't think you will use the IEO stuff right now. You never know how "into" tuning you will get and if you really get into it, then you will want to be able to log a wide band. Plus it will have a higher resale value should you ever decide to sell it.
