Any place I can get a free copy of hp tuner software. I have tuned a good many of late 80's and early 90's gm's using software, so I'm familiar with what is required. Let me know if I can get a free downloadable version somewhere..Would be for my '05 Sierra 8.1. Thanks,Chris.

There is no such thing as "free" tuning software for 98+ GM vehicles. You have to buy THEIR cable to be able to use it. Then you have to have licenses/credits, which you have to buy if there isn't any left on the cable.

I believe EFI Live will let you download a trial but the second you want to write a tune to the vehicle you will have to purchase it. Not sure if HPT offers a free "trial" setup or not.
