Default Hot lean cold rich oat issue.

When it's hot out my part throttle runs lean but when it's cold my part throttle runs rich. About 50-70 it's spot on. What gives? Using hpt. What should I look for for adjustments?

Are you running MAF or SD? Open loop or closed loop?

How big of a swing in fueling are we talking about here?

2bar sd o2's off. when its above 75* it starts to go lean. when its in the 90's it will cruise 16ish but will fatten up if need be with load and boost. when its cold below 40's it will start to richen to make about 13.7 while cruising.

Ahh yes a common problem when running an open loop speed density tune. This is where the Cylinder Charge Temperature Bias comes into play!

Just point me in the right direction and I'll fix it up. That is if you don't care. At least it's not getting so lean as to missfire. It use to do that at cold idle. But I fixed that long ago. But it does buck a bit when the throttle is just right with the tcc locked and low speed. I know it's a lean issue cause the wide band reads 16 and it doesn't do it when in the better temps as described above.

Yeah I will post up some info in this thread again tomorrow, between some tuning today and being on the forums tonight for awhile I am about to go cross eyed from looking at this laptop for so long today. LOL!

On a quick side note, as long as your VE was tuned at a fairly steady temperature whether it be 50 degrees, 60 degrees, 75 degrees or whatever the temps were when it was tuned you do not want to go and redo your VE again if you see it off like say it being lean when it's 90 out. This will only have you chasing your tail in circles even more.

The iat is in the mani on the right side. I think the spot I put it use to be used for egr.

Klug, yeah I kinda figure it would be a tail chase redo doing ve every winter and summer. Last time I think I touched the tune was right before an after I ran the 12.33.
