If the tps is off you can reset it just unplug it and then turn on the key to before start and leave it there for like a min and then shut it off and plug the tps back in and it should be back at zero

You need to have the engine in closed loop, vehicle in park, ebrake on, foot on brake, then hit GO. I don't floor it like most, just roll onto the gas progressivly until the 4500RPM speed limiter kicks in. If the truck goes above 5200RPM's and hasn't cut out yet, you're not doing it right. Some people stomp it to the floor and rev it up to 6 grand in nuetral, it never cuts out and they think they've done it the right way. You're asking to break something then. If you were close to MN I would just do it for you free of charge. Anyways, good luck.

Good to know about the closed loop, i'll try that. I had it in park, ebrake and brake and hit go, but it would still say tps too much or something. Yah progressively was the way i was revving it. I need to know how to do it myself so i can help someone else out in the future, you don't learn anything by having someone else do it, but thanks for the offer. I'm in CA, so that isn't very close in my book, lol.
