Default H3 i5 to 6.0

Alright, so we have got a fun one for you boys. I am helping with a 2008 H3 swap. 6.0 from an 08 2500hd is in and bolted up new bell housing, etc. now for the wiring harness. Problem number 1 the factory 60e didn’t have a speed sensor. How can I get the 60e and 6.0 communicating to the e37 without a TSS? Can I run the trans standalone? Suggestions?

How did the factory computer get it's signal?

Does it have a internal speed sensor and a TCM inside it? Or does it get it's speed from the rear end?

One part I'm curious about is what computer you are trying to use because the E38 that controlled the 6.0 came with a 6L90e and you won't be able to make that computer control a 4L60e.

I was brought in literally last night to take a look at this project. I believe it must have a separate TCM internally, but I haven’t spent enough time researching just yet.

Tried to explain that to the customer. He wants it as close to factory as possible. I’m sure it will be get blow up and rebuilt shortly.
