Default got a noob question about exhaust cut outs

i was jus wonderin..i know if you have no back pressure its horrible for low end torque n everything but coule a single cut out where it y's together be of any benifit if it was tuned with the cut out open? i mean vs through the regular exhaust say a 3 chamber flow with stock pipes just 3" from muffler back its single in single out and all the way back.. im jus guessin if it were tuned with the cut out open maybe top end would see an improvement? 90% of my races are from a roll so it would help out.. anyway was jus wonderin i know theres alot of expierenced tuners in here thanks in advance

Is the new truck going to be stock?

If it's stock, it's gonna sound like crap IMO. Just gonna be somewhat loud and redneck sounding, and it won't really improve performance.

My truck is faster on the bottom end and the top end with the cut out open, by a noticeable difference. That may be because I have a slowmaster 40 series muffler though.

i didnt see no performance gain with it open or not untill i did my cam. now i think its prolly about .1 tenth faster at the track. if the new truck still has stock manifolds i would save the money and do lt's first
