I was hoping someone could tell me how to log my truck so that i can get it better tuned. What equipment do i need and what exactly is logged? I live in the San Francisco area if someone could help me log it that'd be great too.

where you are getting it tuned matters what program you use. you would need the same program they use for tuning

you need a laptop and either EFILive or HPTuners(tuning software), whichever one your tuner uses. i doubt they would use LS1Edit. the tuning software will come with a cable to connect your laptop to your diagnostic port. might need someone to hold the laptop whne you log it.

you are logging what happens while you are driving in the trucks pcm.

someone else more knowledgeable will post and tell you how.

 

+1 Where/how/who do you plan on tuning your truck? You can dyno tune at a local shop, or mail-order tune. Your mods and future plans will dictate which is right for you.
You happen to live in an area close to two or three reputable tuning facilities.
