If you go to the dealership you can buy a 137amp fuse and it snaps in to place between that stud and the hot stud that is directly next to it. Its nice for getting a good 12v source to power things like the stereo and amps and anything else. Without the fuse it's a dead stud. If you need I can take a picture of mine tomorrow, but it's like a $10 fuse.

No, just walk in the dealership, give them any vin number and when they bring up the diagram of the fuse box point to the fuse.

If you notice in that picture in post #1, in between the stud and the Hot bolt that has the wire leading to the junction box, there's two plastic clips right in between those two points, that's where it clips in and holds the fuse. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow if I get to it.

You can but remember that the bolt just inboard of it powers the fuse box and PCM, so in some way your gonna have to power that bolt that's next to it, and the easiest way to connect to two is with a fuse. I did the same thing with my battery and I had the battery power the junction box, then had the junction box power that hot bolt and used to fuse to connect the hot bolt to the dead (now live) stud and I hooked up various things to that hot bolt that I wasn't able to put on the junction box or elsewhere.

Good Lord!! I knew a fuse went there, but didn't realize it was such a high amperage.

ON the cover or the fuse block it says its for 150 amp customer access or glow plugs.

I'm sure upfitters use this all the time to power different accessories and such.

You could just use a jumper from stud to stud to power it but the $10 fuse sounds like the way to go. Probably safer too.
