Default Free A/F Gauge?

I was told once that you could wire a wide band 02 sensor to your existing egr wiring, (that I have deleted) then plug in a formula into the gauge setting in hp tuners and then you would be able to bring up you r a/f on your screen in hp tuners.
Is this true?
Has anybody tried it or is someone pulling my leg?

I really don't think the truck PCM's have the ability to log A/C or EGR. Can someone confirm this? I can't seem to setup a PID for either one.

If this can be done on a truck, I would love to see a write-up on how.

I have my Lc-1 wired into my rear O2 wire. I don't have egr on my truck. You still need to buy a wide band controller, you can't just wire in the O2 sensor.
